Tatvam Villas - Interiors & Vastu Work

We were tasked with designing and renovating a 4 BHK villa in Tatvam Villas Gurgaon, spanning 4750 square feet, encompassing a basement, ground floor, and first floor. The client's primary objective was to create a residence with a sophisticated interior that exuded a homely atmosphere, steering clear of a hotel-like ambience. Central to the design was the incorporation of Vastu remedies and principles to foster positive vibes throughout the house.

The clients desired a welcoming home, a sanctuary where they could rejuvenate and unwind after a day's work. The villa, featuring a swimming pool, had been purchased with the expectation of its enjoyment; however, the previous owner had closed and filled it due to its unfavourable South-West direction, believed to impact relationships negatively. Additionally, the clients sought a spacious mandir that could accommodate the entire family during pooja, replacing the closed-up swimming pool space.

In the basement, plans included a home theatre and gym. Despite budget constraints, the priority was to fulfil the imaginative vision of their son's room. We addressed the concerns related to the swimming pool by emptying it, and implementing remedies to neutralize any potential negative impacts. Furthermore, a substantial mandir was strategically positioned in the North direction.

The successful execution of these designs, renovation and Vaastu elements garnered appreciation from all family members, affirming the creation of a space that not only met their aesthetic and functional expectations but also contributed positively to their overall well-being.

The immaculate house, surrounded by breathtaking landscaping, seamlessly merges dreams with architecture, creating a haven that exudes comfort and elegance. As you enter through the grand doorway, a tastefully designed space unfolds, featuring a perfect blend of lush greenery and meticulously paved areas. The expansive living and dining area beckons with an exquisite fireplace and expansive windows, offering a panoramic view of the outdoors. 

The grandeur extends to the rear deck, where large folding glass doors effortlessly connect the interior with the exterior, providing an enriched indoor-outdoor living experience. Designed for grand gatherings, the rear deck boasts expansive entertaining spaces, seamlessly extending from the formal area. Every inch of this outdoor oasis is adorned with modern luxurious amenities, creating a haven for both relaxation and entertainment. 

The kitchen, a dream for any aspiring chef, inspires creativity with its exotic fusion granite counters and a waterfall centre island with seating. This residence is more than just a house; it's a testament to the harmonious blend of architectural brilliance, and luxurious living with Vastu principles, inviting you to indulge in a lifestyle of opulence.

Transforming a residential floor into a functional office space, this project entailed converting a two-and-a-half-bedroom layout with attached bathrooms, an open kitchen, and a dining area into a professional setting. The new design accommodated a CEO cabin, conference room, work area, and pantry, reflecting the flexibility needed for dual use—both as an office and a residence. 

The client's specific requirement for a white theme dictated the overall aesthetic. The colour palette was carefully curated to create a bright and airy atmosphere, contributing to a clean and professional look. The use of white not only enhanced the sense of space but also allowed for easy integration of corporate branding or personal touches in the future.

One of the key design considerations was the adaptability of the space. The layout was thoughtfully planned to serve as an office for the current needs, yet it was designed with the flexibility to transition seamlessly into a residence when required. The careful selection of furnishings and fixtures ensured that the space maintained a balance between corporate functionality and residential comfort. 

The transformation of the open kitchen and dining area into a pantry reinforced the office functionality while maintaining a sleek and modern design. The incorporation of a CEO cabin, conference room, and work area optimized the available space for productive use. While subsequent projects followed, this particular endeavour retained a distinct place in appreciation. The clients envisioned a home with a cottage-like charm, prioritizing ample sunlight, greenery, and ventilation. To fulfil their aspirations, a grand terrace garden was meticulously planned on the first floor, bringing the allure of nature seamlessly into their abode. 

The family lounge, adorned with a fireplace, was designed with a double-height ceiling, imparting a sense of vastness and openness. This architectural choice not only added grandeur to the space but also created a visually expansive environment. Both the family lounge and the study were strategically positioned to offer captivating views of the terrace garden, allowing the family to connect with nature while indoors.

 The design philosophy focused on ensuring that all rooms were spacious, well-ventilated, and flooded with natural sunlight. This approach not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal but also contributed to a sense of well-being and tranquillity throughout the residence.

Situated on a corner plot, the client's vision for this residence was unique—a structure that exuded the appearance of a duplex yet offered the flexibility to function as independent floors. The elevation was meticulously designed to present the entire house as a cohesive unit, concealing the potential for complete separation of the floors. 

The upper floor, while seamlessly integrated into the overall aesthetic, was strategically equipped with an optional separate access. This design choice ensured autonomy between the floors, providing the client with the freedom to utilize the space as one unit or as separate living areas with all essential operational functionalities intact. A distinctive and captivating feature of the house lies in its boundary wall and balcony railings. 

Red Stone slabs were skillfully arranged to form intricate rectangular checks, creating a visually striking pattern. This not only added an artistic dimension to the exterior but also served as a testament to the meticulous attention to detail in the design. The staircase, a pivotal element in any multi-story structure, was designed with a touch of ingenuity. A glass wall positioned at the corner of the staircase allowed natural light to permeate throughout the day, creating a well-lit and visually engaging space. This feature not only enhanced the aesthetics but also contributed to a sense of openness and connection with the surroundings.

 In essence, this corner plot residence stands out as a testament to its thoughtful and versatile design. It seamlessly combines the appearance of a duplex with the practicality of separate living spaces, offering a dynamic living experience. The incorporation of Red Stone checks and the glass-walled staircase not only adds aesthetic flair but also reflects the commitment to creating a residence that is both visually captivating and functionally efficient.

Responding to the client's desire for a twofold experience, the design ingeniously incorporates both elements. The architectural planning involves a thoughtful interplay of shapes, with strategic blocking in triangular and rectangular forms. 

This intentional approach not only adds visual interest but also serves to fulfil specific functional requirements. The triangular shapes contribute to the cottage-like appearance, evoking a cosy and welcoming ambience, while the rectangular forms cater to the terrace's usability and layout efficiency. The cottage aesthetic is curated through a combination of design elements such as pitched roofs, rustic materials, and warm colour palettes, fostering a quaint and inviting atmosphere. 

Simultaneously, the terrace is designed as a practical and functional outdoor space, seamlessly integrated into the overall layout. The dual functionality of the house ensures that the client can enjoy the picturesque charm of a cottage while also making the most of a versatile terrace for various activities and gatherings.

This corner plot house stands out with its distinctive design, featuring prominent cantilevered terraces that add a modern and dynamic dimension to the architecture. The corner staircase, a focal point of the structure, is adorned with a glass wall, allowing abundant natural light to illuminate the entire area. The use of glass walls throughout the house contributes to an expansive and open ambience. 

The cantilevered terraces, strategically positioned, not only enhance the aesthetics of the house but also provide functional outdoor spaces with panoramic views. These terraces serve as extensions of the living spaces, offering residents the opportunity to enjoy the surroundings in a unique and elevated way.

 The corner staircase, with its transparent glass wall, becomes a visually striking element that not only facilitates natural light penetration but also adds a sense of transparency and connectivity within the house. The overall design is geared towards creating an open and spacious atmosphere. 

The basement, featuring a separate entry on the side due to the corner plot layout, is a functional and well-lit space. The incorporation of glass elements in the basement design ensures that it benefits from good natural light and ventilation, dispelling the notion of a typical enclosed and dimly lit lower level. In summary, this corner plot house showcases a thoughtful blend of modern design elements. 

The cantilevered terraces, glass walls, and innovative placement of the corner staircase collectively contribute to a visually dynamic and open living space. The incorporation of natural light and ventilation in the basement adds to the overall functionality and livability of the residence.

Each room opens to spacious terraces, with the master bedroom boasting the largest, complete with a semi-covered terrace that creates an intimate space to enjoy the rain over a cup of coffee. The master bedroom's terrace is designed to accommodate a sitting area, providing a perfect retreat for the couple to relish the rain-soaked ambience. The study room, strategically positioned, benefits from an abundance of natural light and a captivating view of the same terrace, creating an inspiring and pleasant workspace. 

Upon entering the house, a grand entrance lobby with a central foyer immediately captures attention. Circular stairs connect the levels, creating a seamless flow within the home. A striking Belgian glass chandelier graces the central foyer, casting a warm and enchanting glow throughout the area, and setting a luxurious tone. This duplex accommodation is thoughtfully organized, with the formal area on the ground floor and the family area on the first floor.

The terrace, strategically planned, is not merely an outdoor space but a versatile area capable of hosting gatherings of 60 to 70 people. An adjacent kitchen and store add functionality, ensuring seamless hosting of events. In summary, this beautiful house is a fusion of design precision, functional elegance, and personalized touches. 

From the open terraces in every room to the master bedroom's intimate rain-soaked haven, the circular stairs, and the multipurpose terrace, each element contributes to the overall charm and sophistication of this meticulously crafted home.

This residence reflects the client's strong desire for expansive, open spaces, evident in the deliberate design of large terraces on each floor, gradually receding into the structure. The front setback, adorned with greenery, was strategically sunken, providing a visual treat for the formal drawing room located in the basement. This clever design decision allows the drawing room to overlook a beautifully landscaped area, enhancing the aesthetics and bringing a touch of nature into the living space. An interesting turn in the project occurred when the client introduced the need for a lift after construction had commenced. 

Remarkably, this requirement was seamlessly integrated into the existing design, extending from the basement to the terrace. The addition of the lift not only met practical needs but also contributed to the overall accessibility and convenience of the home. In summary, this residence is a testament to adaptable and thoughtful design. The incorporation of big terraces, a well-lit basement, and the seamless integration of a lift highlight the commitment to creating a living space that not only fulfils the client's initial vision of openness but also responds dynamically to evolving requirements during the construction process.

Taking over mid-construction, this project presented a unique set of challenges and opportunities. The groundwork had already commenced on the ground floor when the client expressed dissatisfaction with the overall blocking and encountered an issue with the basement's headroom, causing discomfort during entry. 

To address the structural stability, a strategic solution was implemented by introducing a column, ensuring the integrity of the construction. Simultaneously, modifications were made to the basement design to rectify the insufficient headroom, alleviating the discomfort experienced upon entry. 

The elevation, a critical aspect of the project, underwent significant adjustments to align with the client's vision for the final look. The design was tailored to meet the client's specific requirements, transforming the initial plan to achieve the desired aesthetic appeal. These modifications not only enhanced the visual aspect but also contributed to the overall satisfaction of the client. This project showcases adaptability and problem-solving prowess. 

Taking charge of mid-construction, the introduction of structural elements and adjustments to the basement headroom not only rectified issues but also ensured a stable and comfortable living space. The modified elevation serves as a testament to the responsiveness and commitment to meeting the client's expectations, turning a challenging situation into a successful and satisfying project.

This aesthetically designed residence seamlessly combines visual appeal with practical features to create a truly captivating living space. Tailored to the preferences of the clients, who are avid party enthusiasts, the formal area takes centre stage with a striking design that opens up to an expansive lawn. 

The large double door not only serves as a grand entrance but also provides direct access to the outdoor space, perfectly designed to host gatherings of at least 50 people. The entrance lobby, a focal point of the residence, is thoughtfully designed to set the tone for the entire home. A small formal sitting area within the lobby provides an inviting space for guests. 

The overhanging circular staircase adds a touch of architectural elegance, making a visual statement that complements the overall design. In consideration of the master bedroom, natural light takes precedence in its design. The corner wall is adorned with a glass façade, allowing an abundance of natural light to flood into the room. This design choice not only enhances the spacious feel of the master bedroom but also creates a connection with the outdoor environment, bringing the beauty of nature inside. 

In summary, this residence is a harmonious blend of aesthetics and functionality. The intentional design of the formal area for hosting large gatherings, the striking entrance lobby, and the master bedroom's emphasis on natural light collectively contribute to a living space that is both visually appealing and well-suited to the lifestyle preferences of the clients.

The house was designed with a focus on accessibility for senior residents, incorporating features such as ramps and accessible bathrooms throughout the entire space, ensuring comfort and convenience. Simultaneously, the planning included a spacious 50 feet by 15 feet swimming pool in the basement, catering to the preferences and lifestyle of the younger generation, creating a harmonious and inclusive living environment for both age groups.

The challenge in planning this residence lay in preserving a mature peepal tree in the driveway with extensive roots, ensuring no harm to the foundation in the long term. Accommodating the client's desire for a spacious bar for hosting parties and a covered sit-out on the first floor that offers a picturesque view of the peepal tree required thoughtful design and engineering solutions. 

Balancing structural integrity with the client's entertainment needs resulted in a unique and harmonious living space, where the natural beauty of the tree becomes an integral part of the overall design.

Office Interiors & Vastu Work

The office interiors were meticulously crafted following Vastu principles, incorporating its elements seamlessly into the design. Colours were chosen following directional guidelines. Strategic placement of employees' seating, aligned with their specific work areas, adhered to Vastu principles to enhance overall productivity.

 Additionally, the stock arrangement and strategic display of lights were carefully planned, leveraging Vastu principles to create a positive and energetic environment that aimed at boosting sales. This holistic approach to design not only promoted a harmonious work setting but also aimed at achieving business objectives through thoughtful spatial planning and aesthetic considerations.
